Greetings Everyone,

Just wanted to give everyone a review of the First (soon to be Annual?)
Chicago Area Get Together so that everyone can get a chance to feel like
they were there :)
There were four vanagons, two being Westys.  Spencer won the unofficial
reward for the most Beautiful Westy there.  Man, it's a sight to see!  He
keeps "Bear" in pristine condition (it actually made my Westy quite
jealous).
Dan and his wife Rose, arrived in "Miss Blue" an '87 GL, with their children
Norah and Ian.  Brian and his wife Kim, took the opportunity to show us
their Suburau conversion on their vanagon.  They won the unofficial award of
arriving first :-)
Everyone seemed to have a good time, enough that they informed me that this
should be an Annual event.  We had enough food to feed a small army, so
please come join us next time.  Rose won the unofficial best food award with
her bagel, cream cheese and salmon entree.  I am still thinking about it
today, Yum!
Don't think it was all fun and games though, I put some people to work :-)
I brought along the sliding door screen to installl and a cordless drill for
a "project" if anyone got bored.  I tell ya I am always thinkin'.  Thanks
again Spencer for helping with that!

So if you are in the Chicago Area, be prepared to be invited again next year
:-)  We will try to keep the some dates, the last weekend in July.
