Subject: WinNT and ETKA - the trick

Here is how to make ETKA run on windows NT for anyone who is interested. If you follow the instructions on the install CD, it will not work.

Here is what to do:

1.) Run the install program from the CD. IGNORE the message about running Hardlock.

2.) Copy the LEXHDL5.DLL and LEXHDLL5.dll files from the \EPC_PROG.W95 directory to the ETKA program directory on your hard disk. (Usually C:\EPC_PROG)

3.) Run the program. Note: Your monitor resolution must be set to 1280x1024 Otherwise the ETKA program will not fit in the window.

That's it.

(Note to the technically inclined: The key is to copy the lexhd*.dll files from the Win95 install on the CD not from the NT4 directory. There does not seem to be a problem running the NT4 program files with the W95 lexhd*.dll files. My guess is that these files only control the hardlock (dongle) system.
