Subject: Flashing red light info
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Recently someone posted a problem with their red light flashing continously after startup.

I just discovered that on my '84 GL .... there is a grey relay, marked with a 24 on the top, hidden by the fuse panel (drop down the fuse panel and there are several relays on a board) with the primary function of supplying power to the heater blower motors when the ignition switch is turned on ..... that, if the contacts don't "Make" 'causes my blower motors not to work AND 'causes my red light to blink continously (temp gauge not affected). Thumping my relay ... causing the contacts to make ... allows blower motors and the red light to function normally.

By the way ... if someone has one of these relays available ... I'd sure like to have it.

Thanks,

Mike
