Subject: rattle, rattle ...O2 Sensor! And thanks.
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Oh wise ones,

Perhaps many of you know this already, but for the newbies and the oily masses here is what I learned today:

A loose oxygen sensor makes a rattling noise very similar to how a loose heat shield might sound. Quite loud and in no particular pattern.

i changed my j-pipe recently and this rattle started about a month later. If it shakes loose again I'm not sure what I'll do to secure it. I think lock-tite might not stand up to the heat in this area.

Any suggestions appreciated.

-- Miguel

P.S.

Incidently the clutch is much better now that the engine oil no longer leaks into the clutch bay.

Thanks to all who made suggestions.
