I'll throw in a resounding third on Lee's and Brian's advice. This was the first fuel hose I replaced. It gave out on the way to work one morning. The van started running like crap as the leak increased. By the time I got it shut off it had dumped almost half a tank of gas! On the upside, the top of my tranny is really clean.

In Ken Wilford's instructions he mentions eliminating the through the firewall piece and using one longer hose to replace this.

Brian's alert is well worth your serious attention! On our ski trip to Colorado last March, we were suddenly without much power. After stopping the van to take a look, I discovered gas gushing (not just dripping) from the same 2" hose described by Brian. The repair was small but I keep wondering how close we came to a dangerous, van-destroying fire. Just an inspection may not be enough---I had just visually inspected the hose two days before we left on the trip. I hope our close call will encourage others to change that hose.
