Hi all - long time no post... I'm considering an I4 transplant into my '89 Syncro GL and one of the variables not really addressed in Peter's Tiico kits is the cruise control. He has some tips and pix on his web page for retrofitting the waterboxer's cruise control onto the new I4 throttle body, but this seems a little kludgy at best. Does anybody know how cruise control is normally accomplished on the I4? (Seems like in this day and age it might be implemented mostly in the ECU rather than the electro-mechanical-pneumatic scheme used in the WB.) Is there a "native" cruise control system currently produced for these engines in S.A. that could be installed instead of retrofitting my old one? -Steve Hoge |
