Dear Jeff, I would check these things: 1. Oxygen sensor 2. big connector at the computer 3. airflow meter I had a similar problem with my '84, and it seems to be tied to electrical connections. I removed the computer connector and put it back on, and things seem fine now. John Hung '84 GL
