I find that on the 1.9 motor, the first thing to check when running poorly is the temp sensor II connector which is located next to the water pump. It is the one with the two wire connector. Cleaning the connector is often the solution to many problems. It seems to oxidize very easily, and since the current there is very low, it doesn't take much oxidation to block the voltage path. Hi All! The Blueberry (84 GL) has been lacking power for a while now. Here are the stats and useful info: Recently replaced muffler and catalytic converter New spark plugs Compression between 135-150 Cap/rotor almost new Clean air filter Fuel pressure - 34 at idle, 39 at full throttle Passed emissions about six months ago Runs pretty good on flats, but hills significantly hurt the power. Living in Colorado, this is bad! It feels like the first half of the throttle feels good, but the second half feels like the engine is simply lacking power, maybe choking? Any ideas? Z |
