'Tany rate, the classic switch failure affects high speed and usually not the others -- the high-speed contact sinks into the switch base. But a voltmeter or test light will tell all, a lot easier than thought-waves. If there's voltage on the output side of the switch, check the grounds behind the fuse panel. If the juice goes into the heater box and doesn't come out again, you're going to enjoy learning to take the dash off...but make sure that's the case first. david
