Item Description:
Here's one you don't see every day. You are looking at a very unique vehicle. Built upon a 1968 VW Bus that was a fire truck or some sort of emergency vehicle, this is a custom camper vehicle that was constructed by a private party in Germany. Brought to the United States in 1990 and driven all over the country, but never shipped back. Never registered in the US, this vehicle includes a ton of German accessories that you could never find in the states. This one of a kind vehicle comes with H4 Bosch headlights, Bosch halogen fog lights, German license plates, a mixture of both Hella and Bosch taillights, original Westfailia trailer hitch w/ light socket and badge, accessory rear view mirrors, German first aid kit, 220 volt electrical receptical for refridgerator, bike rack that fits on the rear, ladder to get up top, Blaupunkt Am/Fm unit in dash, Blaupunkt cassette player and Pioneer equilizer mounted under dash really make the 4 speaker system crank! Kilometer speedo re!
ads 52353 Km. Inside the vehicle has a ton of overhead storage as seen in the photos. Propane cyclinder in side compartment works both the 2 burner stove and fridge. Fold down table and huge sleeping area. The 4 plastic or plexiglas windows on the rear and on the side of the vehicle are manufactured by Sekurit. Rear storage compartment and side door are open and closed with the use of a square key or 'church key'. Some fellow put many, many hours into constructing this vehicle. Alot of aluminum sheets, square steel tubing and thousands of pop rivits went into this camper. Engine is a 1600 dual port that runs excellent. Trans axle works great. Windscreen has small crack. Custom passenger seat was added for those comfortable long drives. Have I forgot anything? I'm sure I have, so don't hesitate to e-mail me with any questions you might have. Please ask questions before you bid and don't bid unless you are serious about buying the camper. Vehicle will be sold as is, where is. !
