Getting home from work last night, my wife met me at the door, saying the
van was making "a funny sound".  I started it up, and sure enough, there was
a loose belt.  I got a piece of soap to quickly check which one was loose
(we were going to a dinner party in 15 min).  It was the H2O
pump/alternator.  Boy was it loose!!!  When I went to tighten it, I found
the two studs (I think they were studs, not bolts) had sheared off, and the
alternator bracket was resting on the block.  Amazingly enough, still
provided enough tension to turn both the pump and the alternator.  When I go
home tonight, I'd like to stop off at the store and pick up some
studs/bolts.  I've got a centerpunch, right angle drill and some EZ outs, I
just don't know what the stud size and set depth is.  Anybody know?  Were
they lock-tited from the factory? If so what color?  I guess I'll have to
use a little heat any ways...
