Well, I have really jumped off the cliff today--- I bought a grey 87 Wolfsburg, with grey interior. The engine has 109,000, on it, with an automatic, and it runs and drives nice.

The bottom of the engine and trans is as clean as a whistle, and the steering rack is bone dry, and the underside is rust free---

Some wild man decided to give it the "one shot" roll and brush, in the back yard, worse than Earl Scheib himself could ever do, paint job.

So, because of the Step and Fetchit paint job I am putting it out of it's misery.(RIP)

Anyway, I'm stripping it of the engine, trans, steering rack, electric mirrors, the alloy wheels, sliding door, the upper grill, and the coolant tubes running to the radiator.

All the glass is good, the seats and side panels are good, other than the sliding door panel, the front doors are good, as is the rear hatch, and the dash is in nice shape, and the clock seems to work. All four radio speaker's are in good working order. It has the fold down table in the back, and all the AC stuff is there, and the ductwork is all hanging right proper, right down the middle of the headliner.

Front heater blower doesn't work, but the rear one does.

Let me know if any of you need something off this van, and I'll tell you what I have.

Prices for the stuff is going to be reasonable-----I want it gone.

I am going to be like a mad man on this ---- I am going to get what I need off it, run it over with a D-8 caterpillar, to flatten it, light the torch, cut it up into 4 small flat sections, and deposit it into the reclamation dumpster, in one week---no more.

I can't stand stuff laying around .

Now a question----

Can I drop (or lift in this case) the 2.0 into my 85 and use the digijet computer stuff, or do I have to transfer all the computer stuff from the 87 van into the 85, to make this swap work?

Just a minor technicality.

Later,
