John thanks for the info,

I've got a leaky tank and it is on the list for a fix'in. I assume that the soap and gas don't mix?

Thanks Jere 90 GL 88 GL

I'll pass on this to the list for future reference. On installing the sender - I tried using graphite on the O-ring as recommended in the Bently but had no sucess. I even removed all the paint I had sprayed on in the sender seating area, but still no sucess. Finally, I lubed the both sides (inside and outside) on the tank where sender seats and the sender with liquid dish soap. Not only does it hold the O-ring in place, but now the sender installed with (relative) ease. I plan to lube the gromets that the breather pipes fit into the tank with dishsoap as well.

John
