Hi Volks:

Help me save my beloved Westy! I am moving to California and need to reinstall all the original Federal Emissions equipment to pass the Smog Check.

Following is a list of Federal Emissions parts I will need for my 81 Westy. The muffler/catalytic converter/tailpipe seem to be readily available new from several vendors: the EGR parts are more troublesome...anyone have any to sell or sources to recommend?

Thank you!

1981 Federal Emissions Equip needed(all missing): Catalytic Converter Silencer(muffler) Tailpipe Crossover Pipe EGR Valve Pipe(connects to heat exchanger on driver's side) EGR Filter EGR Valve Threaded Adjuster Rod Gaskets, etc. for above parts

Most of these are shown on p.89 of the Haynes manual, the threaded adjuster rod is on p.87. The EGR is not pictured at all.
