Okay, this will be a little difficult to understand/explain: I'm adding a/c to an 87 vanagon and, as part of the update, I'm updating the radiator fan to the huge one used as stock on 86 and newer vanagons with a/c. This fan uses a resistor (located behind the driver's headlamp) to cut its speeds down. I need the wiring codes for that resistor. Bentley says which wires go to it, but the resistor's wire and harness are all the same color. So I need someone to check theirs and let me know which wire goes where on the three-connector harness used on the resistor. You'll have to do something like: with the fan resistor's harness disconnected view it head-on (looking at the terminals) with the single connector on the top the top connector gets color X from the van the left connector gets color Y from the van the right connector gets color Z from the van The top one will be easy to figure out but the left/right need to be unambiguous. Obviously a picture would be worth a thousand words here. If anyone has the energy to get this for me I would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks, Damian |
