well here's my acceptance speech... i'm a little tipsy right now as i was partying hardy downtown tonight, so you will have to relegate yourselves to reading a repost (copy) of the nomination e-mail i sent to john . enjoy:

" John, I'd like to nominate myself for the schmoo award. I've put my van on a stretcher at least 12 times in the past year(i.e. at least once a month the van was back in the e.r. because of the chronic....problems its been having). The first couple of times the engine wasn't balanced and kept throwing belts. The transmission blowing up, the clutch giving out, and the valve-stem seals giving up the ghost helped the van get put on life support the remainder of the year. As of this e-mail, the van is in a coma in my driveway whilst the search for a new fuelie top end/ECU for under $150 is completed.

Oh yeah, and if that was not enough, my Jetta has also been a trailer queen numerous times this past year.

I can not stress enough that I had no part in the self-destructive tendencies of the engines-with-4-wheels-and-an-enclosed-passenger-compartment that I "lease" from the state in upwards of $300 per annum. :-)

thats why i think that i should not get the schmoo award...lol

anyways, may surya(hindu sun god) see the shiny side up and the rubber side down on all your roadgoing adventures.

peace, out. -sudhir "

well thats the letter, hope you enjoyed it, i am now going to a**-out and enjoy sleeping till at least 1400 hours tomorrow.

peace. -sudhir Sudhir H. Desai desa4622@yahoo.com ICQ: 8255956 AOLim: rawsuds 1984 Vanagon Z34 1996 Jetta (soon to be race ready)
