The two switches at as follows:

Low:
Light comes on when there is not enough oil pressure below 2000 rpm.
comes on at @8 psi.

Light is normally on: OFF with enough oil pressure to pust the switch off.

Not enough oil pressure below 2000 rpm to keep switch open, light comes on.

High:
Light comes on when there is not enough oil pressure above 2000 rpm.

Light normally off: comes on when there is not enough pressure to keep it open above 2000 rpm.  @14~ psi.

There is a printed circuit board that controls the high and low circut. This also is a common problem source, but since all is normal after warming up I would suspect the high pressure switch.

What could be happening is that the high pressure switch is getting stuck closed, tripping the low pressure above 2000 warning, while cold and after it warms up acts fine.

I would replace both switchs since they are cheap, @$10 ea., if both are the same age.  And you have to remove the switch to clean it out, oil cleaners would not get to the location to actually clean it out, so why not put new in to make sure the switches function correctly.
