Gentlemen,

There seems to be something wrong here. While I am, fortunately, very uninformed as regards the water boxer engine, this idle vacuum level seems dangerously low. On my 8V 1.8L inline 4 (RV) Digifant engine, I maintain an idle speed of 700 rpm and hold a sea level vacuum of 17 to 18 inches. Never saw a vehicle with proper valve and ignition timing draw less than 15 inches at sea level.

Just a comment for what it may be worth.
