Beale St. in Memphis. If you are in teh area in the evening, it can't be missed. My favorite? The Rum Boogie Cafe, with a rock/blues house band. Can't be beat.

then to Colorado,

Rocky Mountain Park. If you're into short hikes, get up to the little lakes on the east side of the park.

then to Yellowstone, > Glacier NP,maybe Banff but probably Seattle

Obviously, Pike St. Fish Market, but also, walk across the street (east) to the little aleys and byways surrounding the market, itself. Great ethnic booth-style food and other interesting stuff.

One of my favorite campgrounds is Kopachuk State Campground in Gig Harbor, which is just west of Tacoma. Hard to find, which is probably why I like it. Ask for a Wash, state campg. directory when you cross into Washington.

On the Oregon coast, there are several restaurants named "Mo's". Good food and, in some cases, great views. I personally recommend the hole-in-the-wall location at Depoe Bay (next to Devil's Punchbowl), though they are all good.

then down the coast to San > Diego.

San Diego's is one of the best zoos in the country.

Any recommendations on places, events, etc to see or avoid on this > route would be appreciated. I will be leaving next week and taking about > three months. I am especially interested in routes to avoid or not to miss. > PMAIL me if you want. Thanks, WILL 88 WESTY TIICO
