There will be lots of debate on this one for sure! :)

On a non-Syncro 16 I have fitted 205R16 (Vredestein Transport Snow) and 6.5R16 (Michelin XCL) tires - these 6.5R16 tires are *almost* 30" tall and this is about the max that you could install. I have yet to try 215/85R16 but I think it would be VERY close on rear as there is *just* enough room for me to get my little finger between the trailing arm and the tire.

For the longest time I ran 225/60R16" 97T tires on my Syncro - these were passenger car snow tires and I really have to say even though they had the right load rating the fact they were not LT tires made them quite soupy. But light truck tires. If you don't want to go super big and are looking for a non-off road tread pattern then the Vredestein Transport Steel 195/75R16 8 ply tires would be the thing to get these are 27.5" tall. The smallest "off-roadable" tire would be the Vredestein Transport Snow 205/75R16 8 ply these are 28" tall.

If you want to get some Vredestein tires please pmail me and I can set up you with a set.

I am pondering the wheels on the smallcar.com site and wonder what kind of tires I might be able to put on my syncro. I don't really want to put low profile tires on as I rather fancy the 'off road' look. Anybody know if I'd at least be able to put 60 series tires on my van if I got these wheels?

As always any help appreciated.
