<BIG GRIN> The Jetta 1.8 RV engine that I have installed into my '90 "Bare Bones" Vanagon has a thin brown coating, like a lacquer, on the inside of the engine (block and head). I imagine it is from infrequent oil changes or was just plain run very hot. I thought that perhaps a MMO/Delo 400 15w40 cocktail mixed at about 1:3 would work its magic and clean all the insides to a spic and span condition when I finally get it running. As long as I have it, I'll have to try some mixed with the gasoline too...yummy.
