What are my options for replacing the heating hoses that go from the engine
to the front heater core and from the "T" up to the rear heater core on an 83
1.9 liter?

The hoses from the engine to the front heater core look like a straight shot
(give or take) under the bus to the front. Do these need to be genuine VW or
will Flaps hose do? And is the genuine VW a better quality than a FLAPS hose?
It would seem they might be as my coolant hose lasted 17 years with no
problems. I think you'd never get that out of a stcok replacement hose for  a
"normal" vehicle.

Do list vendors offer these hoses?

I've replaced all the main coolant hoses, by the way, and now have to replace
those that attach to the heater cores.

Any advice appriciated.
