Subject:      R0ck! it runs right, now. stupid exhaust pipe.

weak willed bolts make me angry.

both bolts that hold the exhaust pipes leading from
the exhaust for the rear cylinders to that thingie
that combines front and rear pipes BROKE OFF. of
course, much loudness ensued.

now me, being a mechanical idiot, prone to F--king up
when ever i try to do any real work on things which
are mechanical, drove teh uberloud vanagon up to
munford to have my much more mechanically adept father
bolt the pipes back together (with some much bigger,
burlier bolts that just barely fit),couldn't find any
acceptable gasket so gotta go get one at roy rogers
(roy rogers is indispensable, shop there often) (and
this is just leading up to explaining the title)

once we  (or rather 'he', i just stood there, looked
stupid and said 'duh, can i help!!') got it stuck back
together, once again the opportunity to try to figure
out why it ran funny was taken, and it was discovered
that the vacuum line leading from the intake manifold
to the fuel pressure regulator was loose. cut off the
loose (stretched) end and stuck the hose back on.
instant gratification. after that it ran 'just right'.
