I have been on and off this list for years for JUST that reason.  No I found
the answer, for FREE

Get a YAHOO e-mail account.  They are one of the only free e-mail services
that lets you access your account using a POP3 mail viewer such as Outlook
Express or Netscape or Eudora.

When you set the account up, make sure you specify that you wish to use Web
and POP3 access to the account, I think this is a default option.  To double
check, go into Options page of you e-mail account while accessing it with
the browser to make sure this is selected.  They have GREAT help on how to
configure you Outlook Express to get the e-mail.

This is the way to go.  You will have the mail on your laptop or desktop and
will QUICKLY be able to browse through the mail and read what interest you.
