What kind of silicon lube did you use? A spray kind?

Many thanks to all who replied to my post concerning the upper control arm bushings on "Bear", my '87 Westfalia! I managed to get a silicone lubricant/penetrant to quiet the bushings down for the time being- and I'm sure I'll replace them this fall (when it's not 100 degrees in my driveway!).

Speaking of hot weather, my '87 doesn't have any air conditioning- I can open the dash vents and the roof vent, but that only goes so far..........I was thinking about tinting the windows to help provide a little better thermal efficiency, and I don't know a thing about window tinting- has anyone else done this? Does it work? Is one type better than the other? Any tips? Approximate cost?
