Aha, Ben, thanks! I asked a German I know (who has 2 G50-equipped T3s; he also didn't get me all the info I needed about copies of the Claer G50-fitting kits), but didn't get an answer.

So the fill-panel is an integral part of the taillight unit. Wouldn't mind a set; it fills in that unfinished-looking painted-metal hollow under the tailgate.
