My initial question still remains unanswered, however: How can the thing make ice on 110AC and barely function on propane, when the propane burner system is performing as well as the AC heater element?>> Coby I would think that the basic difference will be found in the difference in efficiency with which heat is generated and transmitted to the ammonia et al. In our case, we found that the combustion chamber had a layer of ash and the burner jet was partially blocked and the heat transfer pipe (exhaust) had a coating of ash. We cleaned up and now it actually gets cold in there. :-) Larry |
