Chris,

If it is the vent window, remove the door panel and, with some difficulty,
tighten its lower pivot mounting clip.

If it is the mirror, remove the mirror and tighten the ball joint nut.  With
old mirrors, I have had success with cleaning the oxidized contact surfaces
then inserting a washer cut from thin polyethylene (a plastic milk carton is
ideal) between the mirror stem and the base.  This dodge works well to keep
the mirror in position yet allows it to be positioned without the fear of
ripping it out by its roots.  The washer will wear out in a couple of years,
but it is easily and, certainly, cheaply replaced.
