Minidiscs are more common on the other side but they're definitely not
bigger, they're only about 2.5 inches across ;-)

A few manufacturers offer them as options but not all.  They'll
never take over from CD's.  I had one for a while and love the format
but even in the UK they just ain't popular enough.  MP3 and downloads
through your aerial is where it's going....
