Subject: Thrown H20 Pump Belt: Now Oil Leak
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Volks, I threw my waterpump/alternator belt a couple of weeks ago and have developed an oil ever since. I have eliminated the oil pressure 9bar switch as the source of the leak. This is a small leak, started at about 2-3 teaspoons per week, yet seems to be getting worse. I degreased the engine for diagnosis 2 weeks ago & when I replaced the oil pressure 9 bar switcch, since then of course it's all oiled up again. I suspect the oil filler tube was nicked/cut when that belt threw, I can't imagine any other component down there carrying oil that could be damaged by a thrown belt. Anyone have any ideas?? All feedback appreciated. Regards Mark Magee 90 Carat 73K mi Kemah TX USA JOH 14:6
