"claims" are one thing.

i've heard of folks like this before. notice the price for a couple of magnets. now really .... you can get REALLY strong magnets from a lot of places for a lot less money.

so here's how the scam might work ... a. Joe Schmo mails in his check for $69.95 for the small version. just to test it. b. company mails the magnets out, and deposits his check/credit card/whatever into company account A. c. Joe decides it's crap and wants his money back. mails the magnets back with a nasty letter. d. company dutifully writes Joe a refund check, for the full amount, but drawn on company account B ... to wit, "pay to the order of Joe Schmo, $69.95, from Butt-licking-Lovers of Nastiness, Inc." e. Joe ain't about to walk into his local homey bank and cash or deposit that check!! his aunt works in that bank!! so he tears up the check and steams for a few weeks. f. company waits 180 days and voids the check and keeps the money.

simple. perfectly legal. and you multiply Joe by a few hundred thousand folks and you're talking a lot of money!!

there's an old saying ..."if it seems to good to be true, it is." or better yet: let the buyer beware. :(
