Stan, I in just about ready to install my new 1.9l NA motor with trans from 82 air cooled. This is in my 82 Westy Diesel.

I swapped the rear flex line to the slave cylinder last night with a new one, as the other was cracked and original equipment. All the fluid ran out of the system, obviously, and it was ugly stuff.

Is the hydraulic clutch system not tied in directly with the brake system?

Do I need to clean out the vacuum booster as well and bleed the entire brake system too?

I should look it up in Bentley but I was up until 3:30am last night sanding and painting the engine rack mount tubes, cleaning engine compartment... AH, I could eat breakfast off the battery shelf, it's so clean.

Thanks, Bryan Bryan Belman Pt. Pleasant, NJ 1990 Audi 200 Turbo (Money Pit) 1982 Westy 1.9l NA (In process) 1970 Type1 Std. Beetle (This one is done)
