Well guys! I have a big round magnet on the oil strainer cover on my 2000cc Type IV Aircooled engine. It is not glued there, it is strong enough to hold on its own, even driving down the highway. It collected (inside the strainer cover) a bunch of iron when I did my first new engine run in, after 500 miles of breakin it had collected some more but not much. After 1000 miles and another oil change it hasn't collected any iron particals at all.

Does this qualify for Vanagon content?
