when you turn it on and off it resets the ECU. It could be the temp2, or oxygen sensor. There are some simple test to check them, but my experience has shown that these test are not necessairly accurate though. Maybe i just can't do them correctly?? First disconnect the oxygen sensor. Drive around the block and see how that works. If it does it's trick, then you know it is the oxygen sensor. You will still be running rich w/o an oxygen sensor, but the bus will run at about 17 or 18 mpg (non westy). If that doesn't work, do the temp2 test. By the way, before you do anything, be sure that the temp2 sensor connector is connected and that the oxygen sensor wire is not grounding out to the body of the bus.
