I don't have any yet. But Pensioner, who posted the original reference to my hitch, offered to send copies of pictures he took to people by email on request. Perhaps you could email me a copy and I'll post it on the busdepot.com site??

No. I'm using one on my '89 right now, which has fiberglass bumpers. It comes with two sets of bumper mounts, one for metal bumpers and one for fiberglass ones. No instructions, unfortunately, as they were intended to be dealer-installed (by VW dealers in South Africa) but with a little common sense the installation becomes obvious. If you have a metal bumper, you'll have to bend a few inch section of it slightly on the underside with a pair of pliers to clear the hitch tongue. If you have a fiberglass one you'll have to notch it (the fiberglass bumper is already marked as to where the notch should be, from the factory). In both cases, the modification takes just a few minutes and is completely invisible once the bumper is reinstalled (unless you are lying under the ground under your Vanagon looking upward). All you will see of the hitch, once installed, is the plate that the tow ball bolts to, sticking out from under the bumper.
