We do AC service at the shop I work at; Freeze 12 is cr@p. Smart on changing the reciever/dryer. Watch to make sure you hook up the right hoses to the right side (high side/low side). Flush the system, completely. As the oil from R-12 and R-134a are not compatible, thusly, will eventually goop-up and clog the system (have fun after that on replacing everything.) In most cases, unless you change out the O-ring seals, with the cross-over of gases, highly expect to do the change out with-in an average of a year of the new exchange. (I've seen systems survive without changing the o-rings, talk about walking on thin ice...) I only mention that, so hopefully you wont have to re-charge the gases again. I'm missing something here else to cover. Ok, someone else who knows fill in the blank..________ Good luck hope this saves any headaches in the long run. By the way, average prices in my area of SO Cali; R-12 around $50/lbs. and R-134a around $12/lbs. Roughly, pending supply and demand.

Michael
