Horace, after my engine blew up on a trip and left me stranded in Clinton, OK, I rented a truck and auto-tow trailer from U-haul, loaded up my vanagon, secured it firmly with good straps and chains, and hauled that puppy from Clinton to Birmingham, AL, making one overnight stop. Made good time traveling at 60 or so. though the instructions with the trailer said Stay Alive, Drive 45 when towing this trailer. The trailer was stable, the van rode good, so I went for it.

You are right. to haul a van. Get a really good rig to tow it on.
