How 'bout Ocean Beach? The weather is likely to be fine in mid-September, it's right at the foot of the park and it would be relatively easy to corner a whole section of the parking area, especially if a bunch of folks showed up real early in the AM, say around dawn...

Hi all,

There are so far at least a dozen or so prospective attendees for the forthcoming San Francisco get together on Saturday, September 2.

I need suggestions for locations within Golden Gate Park to hold this event. I could not find anyplace suitable in half a day of looking yesterday. The parking lots all have some specific activity attached to it. The picnic areas on Speedway Meadow or any of the big lakes require street style parking. Unless a majority of us can show up early, we will likely have to park in scattered spaces. If nothing suitable can be found for "group parking". We may need to move the get-together to Lake Merced. That is definitely easier to manage.

I have not given up yet but could use some suggestions.

If you have not signed up to go, please pmail me for details or go to:
