I was originally queried...

Speaking of hot weather, my '87 doesn't have any air conditioning- I can open the dash vents and the roof vent, but that only goes so far..........I was thinking about tinting the windows to help provide a little better thermal efficiency, and I don't know a thing about window tinting- has anyone else done this? Does it work? Is one type better than the other? Any tips? Approximate cost?

My understanding is, you can go cheap or classy. Cheap ways; those vinyl cling thingies on the window, DIY tint kit, those suction-on child shade dealies, draw the curtains. classy; I talked to a local guy who tints windows, $200 for my van. Check around
