Hello from Atlanta, Ga.----

A clarification as to the purported  "rarity" of the black rubber
mats -----The black rubber mats were standard equipment on air cooled non
Vanagon L models sold in the USA.  They were also standard equipment on the
many utility Vanagons sold in Canada----the ones used in construction,
delivery vans, and the like.  The rubber mats were also used in these vans
in Germany, and in the military Vanagons.
I bought a set last fall from Malahat Canadian Salvage Yard in Victoria B.C.
online in very good condition for US$20.00 plus US$8.00 postage.  Jordan VW
here in the US of A quoted  $50.00 plus $15.00 S&H.   Ahhhh---sweet
competition keeps our Vanagons in good condition!
