Subject: new radio installation advice
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Thinking I was being smart, I ordered a new stereo from Crutchfield to replace the existing stereo. Now after pulling the old one out but not disconnecting anything, I see that it was not a factory installation. I've managed to figure out that two of the wires are for the back speakers but the rest is a head scratcher. When I called Crutchfield, the guy had no information on the wiring and wanted to go through them all with a voltage meter (which I did not have at the time). So my questions are: does anyone know, roughly or specifically, what the wiring schematic is for the radio (i.e. color=function) and does the Bentley manual have said information (though the price is a little chunky I know I'll have to get it at some point)?

Thanks, Michelle '85 GL "Chicken Bus"
