Metal gurus, I need your help:

I have an aluminum trailer which is excellent to pull behind a van because it is ultralight.

It needs some hardward mounted directly to the aluminum. Stainless steel is preferred by me to avoid rust. There is also some nice zinc plated stuff.

What corrosion issues arise with using dissimilar metals in contact with each other? (right term?)

What metals or coatings are preferable to contact with aluminum without creating some kind of enhanced corrosion problem?

thanks

hk
