Subject: Heater Control Box Baffle Repair???
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Is it possible to replace the rubber baffle in each of the two heater control boxes in air cooled Vanagons? This is a rubber gasket that fits inside the metal baffle ring in each box that opens or seals/closes off the heat from the interior when the dashboard control lever is slid to the open or closed position. The entire new unit sells for $60.00, each van has two units, I have two '81 vans..... All I need is the round rubber baffle insert part..... With the baffle gone it is always hot in the van unless one unhooks the heat supply duct. Thank you fellow listees for any help!

Regards,

Michael and Christina Nichols, Atlanta, Ga. 2--'81 Air Cooled
