Ju ist welcome. Gut idea. See below...

Those buses and wheels are so cool! Let me get this straight... VW still manufactures the T3 body style and sells it as the Caravelle in NZ, South Africa and Europe? Or am I confused about that? I know we can't import them to the US, right?

What beautiful cars!

Mick Hilo, Hawaii

The T3 is still made in South Africa, sold standard with a 2.6l Audi five, versions Caravelle and Microbus. I guess there must be a basic Kombi also. Not exported outside Africa, sa far as I know. Howeve if I had $28,000US or so I'd order a new Caravelle right now... To import to USA you'd have to convert it to LHD and somehow convince the "safety" authorities as to its safety. Also the sliding door'd be on the wrong side...

Can a van be beautiful? Yes, when it's made by VW! (some of the Japanese vans are pretty good-looking too).
