Take a suitabel hose clamp. Insert on your thumb like a ring. Take a suitable screw driver and tighten the clamp until suitable tension is achieved. If you start to feel pain, don;t worry about it tighten the screw ten more turns and you will soon forget all about how loose that mirror is.

For your information, the almighty hose clamp is the best Filipino automotive emergency remedy. As Polish, I thought that was something you stick in a piece of bread and what you do to your chrome parts when they start to dull. Wait I think you also need a little bit of it.
