I've seen a few, ok, two, westy's that had the front a/c unit mounted. This is the unit that was mounted on pre-'85's that goes across the front roof above and behind the front seats. The rear of the units was modified somewhat to be a little less ugly and still allow access to the poptop latch. These two chance sightings were in parking lots, didn't get to talk to the owners/drivers, one in Portland, one in Seattle. Both westy's were '85 or newer.
