T3ers One issue not addressed in the Subaru vs. I4 conversion is the idea that, although the Sub is probably a vastly better engine than the Golf, the Tiico engine from Peter has 0 miles on it, while a Sub is coming from a wrecked Legacy with probably 100K on it. I just can't decide which is better. I also assume neither can be reliably rebuilt? Input. Also, recently saw a German syncro cruising through Alaska the other day, and whoa, the guy did a super job, tdi with intercooler, and, this is a very good idea, he pulled the map holders from the doors of various cars like Mitsubishis etc, and stacked them up on either door of the van, for lots of extra storage room for assorted stuff. Lastly, the van was completely retrofitted inside with 1/4 x 1 inch tongue and groove wood in a kit which came from a German firm. I tried looking for them on the net and didn't come up with anything, but can't remember the name now. Maybe some of our German contacts know this firm, because it was really just beautiful. That's all
