Kinda hard to imagine that they would turn down the opportunity to make a
couple extra bucks while they're in there. It shouldn't be something you
would have to demand. Just tell them you want it replaced as a matter of
preventative maintenance. Why is your business.
My feelings are that, if you're in there anyway, it's just good practice to
replace the bearing, especially in light of it only being a $5 part. Most
shops consider it simply part of a clutch job and wouldn't expose themselves
to the liability of having the job come back a few months later with a bad
pilot bearing.
