Have you cleaned the governor and checked its O-ring for leaks? Try to move the gear selector from R to 1 a few times, this has helped me when the van won't move. My transmission was rebuilt about two years ago and when cold it upshifts slowly and downshits hard for a couple of miles. Might be that the accelerator cable needs adjustment, or the band. Haven't got to it yet...

I had to disconnect the wire from the switch to the starter, and almost every morning, I have to jump the relay with a wire that I attached, using the alternator for power.
