>Howdy, >Just a quick question. My van stays parked with drivers side facing full arizona sun on ocassion and yesterday >when i went to drive it, the fan on the fridge was running. After driving around for a while, the fan was still >running. it wasn't until later that night when t he fan finally shut off. Now, obviously the fan is >thermostatically controlled, but is it normal to come on in this situation? Any suggestions? >thanks >mike >82westy Yes, this is normal. It goes on at 125 degrees Fahrenheit (that's the temp at the back of the fridge where the hot stuff is ---not ambient) and once it goes on it can take a long time for that ineffectual little fan to drop the temp enough to shut off. Other listees have added or replaced the OEM fans with much better ones --- something I plan to do myself the next time I have the fridge out.................
